FAUSTINA SENIOR, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died A.D. 141), posthumous issue, AE dupondius or as, Rome mint, (11.352 grams), obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA FAV STINA, rev. around AVGVSTA, S C across field, Ceres veiled standing to left, holding short lighted torch and vertical sceptre, (cf.S.1368, RIC 1173, C.100). Attractive brown patina, good very fine.
