QUEEN VICTORIA, proof half sovereign 1857, wreathed head left, by L.C.Wyon (3.93g) plain edge, struck at the Royal Mint London. A brilliant and frosted proof in almost flawless condition, FDC and extremely rare.

Ex Chris Hall Collection, from Roxbury's sale 8/2/14 (lot 1199), earlier Spink Australia Sale 6 (lot 988) and probably J.G.Murdoch (1903) and A.H.F. Baldwin Collection.
