SICILY, Gela, (c.490-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.444 grams), obv. naked horseman to right wearing crested helmet, galloping right brandishing spear held high in his hand, rev. man headed bull to right with long beard, below traces of **GELAS, (S.713, Jenkins 98, obv. 30, rev. 53 [same dies], SNG Lockett 756 [same dies], SNG Hungary 91 [same dies]). Good fine/nearly very fine and a rare die combination.
