AETHELRED II, (978-1016), silver penny, last small cross type, Winchester Mint, issued 1009-1017, moneyer Oda, (1.47g), obv. crude diademed bust left with four horizontal folds in drapery, long ties behind bust, within inner circle, +AEDELRAED REX ANGLO around, rev. small cross pattee within inner circle, +ODA ON PINTCESRE around (S.1154, N.777, BMC i). Toned, some peck marks, slight crease, very fine and scarce.
