SCOTLAND, Alexander III, (1249-1286), silver penny, second coinage, Classs C, Berwick Mint?, mintmark cross potent, (1.25 g), obv. crowned head left, lis-tipped sceptre before, ALEXANDER DEI GRA around, rev. long cross pattee, mullet of six points in each angle, REX SCOTORVM around, (S.5054, SCBI 35). Toned, some roughness, very fine.
