PHRYGIA, Apameia, issue of P. Lentulus Spinther, Proconsul of Cilicia 56-53 B.C., Imperator, silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (11.554 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left TPA, above P LENTVLVS PF/ IMPERATOR to right two flutes, below MVI**S*KOV, (S.5115, BMC 27-28). Uneven surface patina with encrustation, otherwise very fine and rare.
