CYPRUS UNDER THE ROMANS, Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), AE sestertius, isued 112-117, Cypriot mint, (26.76 grams), obv. laureate bust draped to right of Trajan, around partial Greek inscription, rev. Zeus Salaminios standing facing, holding patera in right hand and sceptre, around uncertain legend, in exergue **[KOIN]ON KUPRIW[N]*, (S.-, cf.Weber 7752, SNG Cop.83). Very good and very rare.
