VAN DIEMEN'S LAND, Bill of Exchange, Hobart Town 15th September 1826 for ?1600 'Exchange at Three pct from British Silver to the Order of Jocelyn Thomas Esq Col. Treasurer', endorsed on the back by "Jocelyn Thomas/Col. Treasurer/V.D.L". Good very fine and very rare as such.
Jocelyn Thomas was the first Treasurer of Van Diemen's Land.
