MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, gold twelfth stater, (0.70 g), 8mm, Pella mint, struck 345/2-340/336 B.C.), obv. Head of Apollo to right, wearing laurel wreath, rev. thunderbolt above **FILIPPOU* below head of lion facing, (S.6676, Le Rider 35, SNG ANS 205-215, HGC 3.1, 857). Very fine and rare.
