VESPASIAN, (69-79 A.D.), gold aureus, 18.5mm, (7.01 g), Rome Mint, struck July-December 71 A.D., obv. IMP CAES VE SP AVG P M, obv. laureate head right, rev. VIC AVG across field, Victory, draped, wings pointed upward, standing right on globe, holding wreath in extended right hand and palm frond in left hand over left shoulder, (cf.S.2256, RIC II.1 47, Calico 698a, BMC 63, BN 47, Biaggi 344, Mazzini 583). Fine and rare.
