SICILY, Syracuse, time of Hieron II, (275-215 B.C.), AE 19 hemilitron, issued c.275-269, (5.70 g), obv. wreathed head of Kore to left, rev. bull butting to left, club and IA above, IE in exergue, (S.1218, Calciati 192 [p.353], SNG ANS 573, HGC 2, 1469). Black-dark green patination, extremely fine, rare in this condition.
