THRACE, Lysimachos, as a posthumous issue from Lampsakos in Mysia, (c 170s-150s B.C.), silver tetradrachm. diameter 37mm, (16.79 g), an issue in the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace, obv. diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon, rev. Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; to left **LUSIMACOU*, to right **BASILEWS*, in exergue, magistrate name **LAM YI* with flanking forepart of Pegasos left in centre, (S.-, Muller -; SNG BN 2559). Toned, with large broad flan, nearly extremely fine and very rare.
