PELOPONNESOS, Phliasia, Phlious (Phleious), silver drachm, (c.420 B.C.), (5.21 g), obv. bull walking to right, head lowered on ground line, below in exergue traces of **FLEIA*, rev. a four spoked wheel, with prominent central axle, around **S I [O N]*, all within an incuse square, (S.2753, BCD 88 [p.42, LHS Sale 96, May 8, 2006], BMC 2, Traite 715, [Pl.CCXVIII, 23], Weber 3876 [same obverse die], HGC 5, 139 [R2]). Fine/nearly very fine and very rare.
Ex BCD Collection and sold at the CNG Triton XIII Auction Sale January 5, 2010, (lot 2181 part). Lot includes BCD ticket and collectors description in a flip.
