SASANIAN KING, Yazdgerd I, (A.D. 399-420), silver drachm, (4.19 g), probably AS (Isfahan) Mint, obv. bust to right with crown with korymbos, crescent on crown, rev. fire altar flanked by two attendants with swords, (cf.Sellwood 41, Gobl 147, type 1/1 (Pl.8), cf.SNS 376, 1b1/13a [Pl.35]). Bright, nearly extremely fine, scarce.
