HADRIAN, (117-138 A.D.), silver cistophorus, 26mm, (10.81 g), Aezani mint, struck after AD 128, obv. bareheaded and draped bust right, around HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P, rev. Jupiter standing left, holding eagle and sceptre, (S.-, RIC II -; Metcalf, Cistophori Type 49, RSC 275a). Very fine with minor scratches under tone, overstruck on a head right/capricorn within wreath cistophorus of Augustus from Ephesus, very rare.
