REPUBLIC, Anonymous, silver denarius, (209-208 B.C.), uncertain mint, (4.37 g), obv. helmeted head of Roma to right, X behind, border of dots, rev. the Dioscuri galloping right, dolphin below to right, ROMA below, (S.39 (This Coin, illustrated), Cr.80/1a, Syd 214, RSC 20k, MBC 423). Attractively toned, extremely fine and very scarce.

Ex CNG Triton 1, December 20-3, 1997 (lot 916) and from the Goodman Collection with their tickets.
