MN. CORDIUS RUFUS, (46 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.77 g), obv. conjoined laureate heads of the Dioscuri to right, each surmounted by a star, RVFVS III VIR below and behind, rev. Venus Verticordia standing left, holding scales and sceptre, Cupid on her shoulder, MN COR[DIVS] behind, (S.440, Cr.463/1a, Syd.976c, B.Cordia 2a). Toned, off centred, weak in places otherwise nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
