LUCIUS VERUS, by Marcus Aurelius, in honour of Divus Lucius Verus, (A.D. 161-169), silver denarius, issued 169, Rome mint, (2.78 g), obv. DIVVS VERVS, bare head to right, rev. pyramidal crematorium of four storeys, garlanded base, the door on second level, the apex surmounted by emperor in quadriga facing, around CONSECRATIO, (S.5206, BMC 505, RIC 596b, RSC 58). Toned, nearly extremely fine/ good very fine, scarce.
