CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 213, Rome mint, (3.00 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Hercules naked standing half-left, holding branch and club with lion's skin, around P M TR P XVI COS IIII P P, (cf.S.6828, RIC 206, RSC 221). Nearly as struck, extremely fine.
