MACRINUS, (A.D. 217-218), silver denarius, Rome mint, (2.78 g), issued Spring-Summer 217, obv. bearded Macrinus laureate cuirassed bust to right, around IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG. rev. Jupiter standing to left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, small figure iof Macrinus standing to left, around IOVI CONSERVATORI, (S.7337, RIC 76, BMC 20, RSC 37). Toned, good very fine and rare.
