Walter Alfred Gordon Gendle, carter, age 20, born at Botany, Sydney, NSW; Enl.19Jan1916 at Casula Military Camp, NSW in 19Rfts 7ALH, with 10 months previous service at Liverpool Camp; Emb.08Jul1916; TOS 2LHR at Moascar 12Aug1916; trf to 7LHR 25Aug1916; various visits to hospital; stab wound in chest after being assaulted by four Turks whilst on leave at Kilid Bahr 16Jan1919; RTA 27Jun1919; Disch.15Mar1920.
With replacement for lost Discharge certificate, copy of part Service File and other research including for Gendle's brother, William Richard Gendle and the husband of Gendle's daughter, Muriel, who married Lionel James Adams.
