Charles Edward Lee, miner, age 26, born at Wallsend, Newcastle, NSW; Enl.24Jan1916 at Newcastle, NSW; Emb.02May1916 with 34Bn; to France 16Sep1916; TOS 4Bn 02Oct1916; Field General Court Martial 17Jul1917 charged with saying in part - in the presence of an officer 'The officers we've got would get a man shot, and I don't know how some of them got their decorations, or words to that effect.' Found Guilty and sentenced to 60 days in confinement.; WIA 04Oct1917, Passchendaele, Belgium and DOW; Buried at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Zonnebeke, Belgium.
