TRIO TO WIA (TWICE): 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 2652 Pte F.J.Fleet. 21/Bn. A.I.F. All medals impressed. Display mounted, second and third medals with contact marks, otherwise fine - very fine.

Together with tribute fob in gold (9ct; approx 4.5g; 25.5mm), with scroll top suspension, obverse inscription, 'To Our Kensington/& Flemington Boys', reverse inscribed, 'F.J.Fleet.'.

Frederick James Fleet, cooper, age 28, born at West Melbourne, Vic; Enl.10Jul1915 at Melbourne, Vic, in 6Rfts 21Bn; Emb.05Oct1915 and to join MEF; TOS to 7Bn 24Feb1916; to France 08Mar1916; TOS 46Bn 31Mar1916; WIA 22Feb1917 GSW right leg, France; rejoined unit in France 24Aug1917; WIA 25Aug1918 gassed, France; RTA 02Jan1919; Disch.11Nov1919; Died and buried at Fawkner Cemetery, North Brunswick, Melbourne, Victoria on 28November 1944.
