TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 963 Pte A.E.Strandgard 22 Bn. A.I.F. on first medal, 3229 T-Cpl. A.E.Strandgard. 25-M.G. Coy. A.I.F. on last two medals. All medals impressed. Display mounted, fine.

Together with Gallipoli Medallion 1967 named to A. E. Strandgard, in case of issue with official printed complimentary note (this aged) and a Gallipoli Medallion lapel badge.

Various enlistments as follows.
(1st Enlistment) 2953 Albert Edward Strandgard, labourer, age 25, born at Clunes, Vic; Enl.31Aug1914 at Townsville, Qld, in DAC, with 2 years with RAGA at Thursday Island; Disch.03Oct1914 as undesirable.

(2nd Enlistment) 963 Re-Enl.26Jan1915 under the name of Albert Edward Harris (No.963 and in 1919 after discharge advised that his correct name was Strandgard) at Melbourne, Vic, with previous service in AIF and left to join Tropical Force; to D Coy 22Bn 01May1915; stated that he was a labourer born at Oakleigh, Vic; Emb.08May1915; to Gallipoli 03Nov1915; RTA 14Mar1916 classified as Undesirable with a disciplinary form of discharge 19Mar1916.

(3rd Enlistment) 3229 Re-Enl.22May1916 at RAS Showground, Sydney, NSW, stated no previous military service and was a press hand born at Clunes, Vic ; Emb.17Oct1916 with 1 Bn Pioneers; various disciplinary actions; to France 18Oct1917; RTA 08Jul1919; Disch.17Oct1919.

(4th Enlistment) 58 Re-Enl.01Jan1920 at Central Flying School Laverton, Vic for Home Service, now stating to be a press hand born at Clunes, Vic and with previous AIF service; Disch.23Mar1920 for Misconduct.

Applied for the Anzac Medallion by letter dated 3/4/67.
