FAMILY GROUP: (Father) Pair to WIA twice: 1914-15 Star; Victory Medal 1914-19. 362 L/Cpl V.L.Howe. 24/Bn. A.I.F. on first medal, 362 L-Cpl. V.S.Howe 24 Bn. A.I.F. on second medal. Both medals impressed.; (Son) Trio: Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. QX15629 K.J.Howe. All medals impressed. Two groups, display mounted, the first pair of medals with contact marks, otherwise good fine, the trio with two gouges on cheek of King on second medal, otherwise good very fine.

(Father) Victor Simeon Howe, tramway employee (conductor), age 24, born at West Melbourne, Vic; Enl.22Mar1915 at Melbourne, Vic, in 24Bn; Emb.08May1915; to L/Cpl 23Jun1915; to Gallipoli 30Aug1915; to France 20Mar1916; WIA 22Aug1916 GSW neck, France; WIA 17Nov1916 gassed, France; accidental injury to ankle 18Feb1918; RTA 28Mar1919; Disch.28Sep1919 Medically Unfit; Died at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital 2 December 1955 and after a service at the Bathurst Memorial Chapel on Monday 5 December was transported to the Spring Vale Crematorium.
