GROUP OF SIX: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Pacific Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. NX18060 W.Crough on first and third to fifth medals, NX18060 W.T.G.Crough on second and sixth medals. All medals impressed. Court mounted, very fine - extremely fine.

Together with medal storage box.

The naming on the Africa Star and the Australia Service Medal 1939-45 is different because these two medals were not issued at the same time as the other medals.

Walter Thomas Gordon Crough, lorry driver, age 26, born at Sydney, NSW; Enl.28May1940 at Paddington, Sydney, NSW, with previous service in the militia, 430078 private in 5th Field Ambulance; served in Middle East 19Oct1940 to 15Mar1942; New Guinea 28Aug1942 to 28Jan1943 and 17Aug1943 to 01Mar1944; Borneo 02Jun1945 to 04Sep1945; Disch.10Oct1945 as Private ex 2/4 Field Ambulance.
