THE ROYAL WARRANT HOLDERS ASSOCIATION MEDAL, (GVR), in silver with pin-back ribbon suspender bar. J. Henry Watherston 23rd June 1921. Engraved. Toned extremely fine.

This medal, instituted by Queen Victoria in 1897, is presented to personnel who have been granted the Royal Warrant in recognition of service provided to the royal family. James Henry Watherston was a jeweller, goldsmith and silversmith operating from premises at 42 Old Bond St, London. He also wrote a number of jewellery guide books. One of his daughters was the artist, Marjory Violet Watherston.
