INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC, 1918, badge hand inscribed in voided silver (35mm), no maker, pin-back, inscribed on obverse 'For Services Rendered During The Epidemic/1918' (M.-). Toned good very fine and extremely rare.
Together with a typed letter from the Pahiatua Epidemic Committee dated April 30th 1919. Addressed to Mrs Wainwright, Balance. 'Dear Madam, I enclose herewith a small memento of the valuable and noble work performed by you as a voluntary worker at the time of the recent Epidemic. Yours sincerely (P.J.Tinney) Hon. Secretary.'
