S.A.B.U. (South Auckland Band Union) Contest, Tauranga, 1937, uniface, struck in gold (9ct, 8.3g, 30x27mm), no maker, scroll and ring top with ribbon suspension, reverse inscribed 'W.F.B./A.Carlyon' (M.-). Extremely fine and very rare.

A.Carlyon was bandmaster of the Waihi Federal Band.

Unlisted in Morel.

Ex Ian McCutcheon Collection, purchased privately April 2014.
