ROME, 1944, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force commemorative or prize medal, in oxidised silver (47mm), by M.Fox, Cairo (M&P.1944/1), reverse uninscribed. As struck, uncirculated and rare.

In original fitted case of Mark Fox, Fine Art Engraver and Medallist, Sh. Elfi Bey (Ades Bldg.), Cairo - Egypt. Design based on an Italian coin and overall design attributed to Peter McIntyre, official New Zealand war artist.
