MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT, New Zealand, Long Service and Good Conduct (Traffic Enforcement) Medal, with bar 25 (Years), struck in silver (37mm), no maker, suspender, ribbon and bar with pin-back, edge inscribed 'R.S.Aanansen 1974' (O&D.110). Extremely fine and rare, especially with a 25 year bar.

Instituted on 29 September 1970, this medal was awarded to Traffic Officers, Traffic Instructors, Road Safety Officers and Parking Meter Officers of the Ministry of Transport upon completion of 15 years continuous service. Bars were also awarded for periods of ten years service. The award was rendered obsolete in 1987 with the introduction of the New Zealand Traffic Service Medal.
