HAWKE'S BAY AGRICULTURAL & PASTORAL SOCIETY, struck in silver (50mm), by J.Pinches, London, modern reverse inscription 'Emblem of/N.Z.Shows/1879', naming erased from edge (cfS.479). Harshly cleaned, otherwise very fine.
Together with a typed note: 'Emblem: This, the emblem of the H.B. Agricultural and Pastoral Show. It was once given as a special prize but because of cost, it was not possible to be continued. It is very rare.'
