SPRINGSTON, hand engraved in gold (9ct, 9.9g, 26x26mm), by P.Ltd (Petersen, Christchurch), ring top suspension, copper-plate initials on front, 'W.H.M.', reverse inscribed 'N.Z.E.F./For/Active Service/From/Springston Residents/28th Reinf'. Very fine.
Probably to 55525 Pte William Henry Memory, 28th Reinforcements, CIR, embarked from New Zealand 26 July 1917.
