AUSTRALIA, pre-federation dark blue uniform woollen jacket with red wool stand-up collar edged with gold braid, dark blue shoulder board straps edged with red piping and the front and rear lower back of the jacket also with red piping, the cuffs decorated with gold worsted braid, all buttons (16 in total) in brass for Military Forces N.S.W., written in ink on inside of collar is the name, 'A. Mendoza'. Noted some small moth holes and foxing spots on inner lining, otherwise very fine and scarce.
