WWII, silver container probably used as an ashtray with a lift-out stand, said to be from Changi POW Camp, the container with the silver hallmark of Carrington (& Co), 130 Regent St W. Very fine.

The vendor advised that this container was given to him by a British POW, Richard (Dick) Rennick, who told him it came from the RAF officers' mess in Changi.
