PEEK AND CAMPBELL TEA STORES, Sydney penny, 1852 (A.-; H 247/2) five lines of legend on building, reverse as A.427. Even dull dark grey brown patina, nearly very fine for this and excessively rare, only two others known.
The rarity of this obverse die suggests it was a trial before A.426 was produced. This example was discovered by chance in an old collection in Sydney several years ago. The variety is not represented in any institutional collection.
