Lot 2666    SESSION 13 (11.30AM THURSDAY 23RD NOV)    Orders, Decorations & Medals - British Groups

Estimate $150
Bid at live.noble.com.au
SOLD $90

TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. No. 3414. Sepoy Alam Khan, 126/Baluch. Infy. on first medal, M-373692 Pte. V. Celia. A.S.C. on last two medals. All medals impressed but the name on the first medal appears to be engraved. Swing mounted, the first medal worn, otherwise good - very fine.

The connection between Alam Khan and V.Celia is unknown. Perhaps Celia has mounted this medal to replace a lost medal of his own, or perhaps he was not entitled to the 1914-15 Star.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
