Cpl Montiford, along with other Regular Army and CMF soldiers, was presented with his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal by GOC N. Comd. Maj-Gen F.G.Hassett at a Beating the Retreat ceremony at Victoria Barracks, Brisbane, Queensland.
