Herbert Ambrose Hellyer, labourer, age 32, born at Maryborough, Qld; Enl.24Jun1940 at Maryborough, Qld; served in Middle East 03Feb1941 to 12Aug1942, New Guinea 26Sep1942 to 31Oct1943 and 04Jan to 20Sep1945; WIA 16Jul1945 and then malaria; Disch.05Dec1945 as Gunner ex 2/1 Tank Attack Regt; Died 23Jan1983.
