Godfrey Merritt, truck driver, age 20, born at Balingup, WA; Enl.09Apr1941 at Claremont Camp, WA, with previous service in 10 Light Horse; served at Timor 08Dec1941 to 16Dec1942, New Guinea 16Jun1943 to 08Sep1944 (WIA 25Oct1943 but remained on duty), New Britain 09Apr1945 to 18Jan1946; Disch.28Mar1946 as a Corporal with 2/2 Aust Commando Sqn.
