MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.10 g), Magnesia mint, issued c.319-305 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **P/B* to left, monogram below throne, to right **ALEXANDROU*. (cf.S.6730, Price 1960, BMC 1960, M.786). Toned, Bright, good very fine.
