MACEDON, Kings of Macedon, Demetrios I Poliorketes, (306-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Pella Mint, (struck c.293-292 B.C.), (17.08 g), obv. Nike standing left on prow of galley left, blowing trumpet and cradling stylis, rev. **BA-SILEW-S* below, **DHMHTRIOU* to right, Poseidon Pelagaios standing left, throwing trident, chlamys over left arm, **D* to left and monogram to right, (cf.S.6762, Newell 72, HGC 3.1 1012e). Traces of irridescent toning, good very fine and rare.
