THESALY, Thessalian League, (Mid-late 1st century B.C.), AE dichalkon or Obol, 22mm, (6.41 g), in the names of Magistrates Philokrates, Italos, and Petraios, obv. Helmeted bust of Athena right, wearing aegis; **FILOKRA - TOUS*, rev. Athena Itonia standing left, holding crowning Nike and shield, with spear at side; ITA**L*OY across upper field, **QESSA/lWN* right and left, **PETRAIOS* in exergue, (S.-, Burrer p. 62; Rogers 59; BCD Thessaly II 907.2, HGC 4, 227 [S]). Good very fine and very scarce.
