BOIOTIA, Tanagra, (479-475 B.C.), silver drachm (6.20 g), obv. Boiotian shield wth horizontal T facing inwards in one opening, rev. incuse square with Maltese cross pattern, in relief T in two opposing incuse sections, (S.1808, BCD 250 [Triton IX same dies], Head 'Boeotia' p.16, BMC 6, SNG Cop.217). Toned, nearly extremely fine and very rare.
