ATTICA, Aegina, (500-480 B.C.), silver stater, (11.93 g), obv. smoothed shell sea turtle, countermarked with symbol on the obverse, rev. "windmill" [four sunken segments, wedge wedge shaped], (S.1854, Asyut Group IVb "heavy collar" cf.500-506 cf.502, cf.SNG Delepierre 1509). Well centred on obverse, fine - very fine, scarce.

Ex Glendinning's, London, December 6, 1979 (lot 13) believed to be from the "Asyut Hoard".
