Pegasos flying to right Q below, rev. head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet, tripod behind, (cf.S.2626, Calciati 254, BCD 78 [Lanz Sale 105, This Coin], Ravel 671 [p.309, T.434], SNG Lockett 2064 [This Coin], Cammann 130, HGC 4, 1832). Toned, well centred, extremely fine, rare.

Ex BCD Collection, from Lanz Auction Sale 105, November 26, 2001 [lot 78], previously from GMRH (Malcolm Hay) in October 1986, previously from the R.C. Lockett Collection, Glendining's London, May 27, 1959 (lot 1803 part). Lot includes BCD tickets and photographs.
