A. PLAUTIUS, (c.55 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (3.46 g), obv. Cybele turreted head to right, A. PLAVTIVS before, AED CVR [S.C.] behind, rev. Bacchus kneels to right with camel at his side, with olive branch, BACCH[IVS] in exergue, IVDAEVS on right, (S.395, Cr.431/1, Syd.932, B.Plautia 13). Toned, banker's mark on obverse, good very fine and very scarce.
