M COMMODVS ANTONINVS [AVG], laureate head of Commodus to right, rev. around [TR P V IMP IIII COS II P P], S C across flan, in exergue LIBERALITAS AVG, Commodus standing left on platform with two attendants dispensing largess to citizen mounting steps, (S.5765, BMC 377-380, C.305, RIC 300). Brown patina, uneven flan, fine and very rare.
