MAXIMIAN, as Augustus, first reign (A.D. 286-305), AE follis, Trier Mint, issued A.D. 303-5, (10.13 g), obv. laureate bust cuirassed to right of Maximian, around IMP MAXIMIANVS AVG, rev. around GENIO POPV LI ROMANI, Genius standing to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, in exergue PTR, S - P in field, (S.13242, RIC 582b, C.189). As struck, good extremely fine, with about complete original silvering.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from A.H. Baldwin & Sons Ltd with their priced ticket 85 pounds.
