ROYAL VISIT, 9th January 1954, struck in bronze (32mm), no maker, pierced and with ring at top for suspension (M&P-). Surface marks, good extremely fine.

The Royal couple were in New Plymouth on Saturday 9 January 1954 and this medal may have been issued to mark the occassion or possibly as an award medal for services rendered. They later flew on to Wellington.
